Firsts.

For the Monash Ball this (my senior) year, i wanted the theme of my dress to be elegant. A long, flowy dress would epitomize that. And actually, I  really wanted to get myself a maxi dress for the longest time! I just couldn't find a suitable and pretty one. If you hadn't already noticed, maxi dresses are so trendy right now and are effortless fashionable pieces on their own! My ideal color pallet for my Ball dress was of course, any shade of purple. If a color makes you feel confident, then by all means! :D However, i also didn't want to buy a dress that i was going to maybe wear once or twice.I thought, a dress that is affordable given the quality, wearable for other occasions and is a shade of purple...its going to be tough! 

I started to hunt for my dress online around a month before the Ball (due to my looming crazy hectic schedule during September)  and one blogshop came to my rescue! :

As a student who is on a budget, i make an effort to purchase versatile clothing items that i can mix and match. I don't know whether it was fate or stroke of luck, but i instantly found the dress i was looking for! The color and design (maxi!) met my expectations and most importantly the price (:

I could envision myself wearing the dress i spotted in Whitesoot for the Ball. This was much due to the clever accessorizing with a bold necklace (huge trend now!) and simple clutch that was used to complete the outfit. I also appreciate the fact that effort was taken to explain the details about the clothing and to present it in clear images. True to the real item of clothing i would say! Certainly helpful when you do online purchasing! My mom certainly approved of the dress i chose, in terms of both quality and price. That stamp of approval is tres importante :D

I'm so glad i snagged the dress color i wanted before it was Sold Out *phew*. In terms of accessorizing, I was very resourceful. I raided my mom's closet, and i'm glad that I found pieces that add a touch of classic (i'm an old fashioned kinda girl). I can honestly say that i was inspired by the accessorizing featured on their website (see here)

One fab fact about this dress is that it is beyond comfortable...First time i put it on, it was difficult to hold myself back from swaying and twirling from side to side :D I also love the fact that it is quite versatile. I'm so looking forward to experimenting with different looks. In terms of accessorizing, I personally think that the best way to do that is to compliment it by wearing a bold statement necklace or perhaps a classic pendant necklace for a toned down effortless look. Agree? (;

And here's an interesting fact :

Its a first (maxi dress) for me, and its a first (birthday) for Whitesoot, too!

Considering the myriad of blogshops these days, it takes alot to stand out from the crowd. I think Whitesoot ticks all the boxes of an enviable and competitive blog shop. It just makes the shopping experience so much more convenient and enjoyable!

*Updates are certain  which means something new to look forward to every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday! (you can hear fashionistas and shopaholics chanting "hurray" simultaneously already :D)

Yes, its ALL true. Visit their website, to see for yourself! Alternatively, you can visit their Facebook page (LIKE it first) to see all the wonderful, nice things that have been said about them! I really appreciate the fact that they take the time to ask their customers what they want to see being brought in. Publish a comment on their page, they might just take it into consideration (;

As great as my shopping experience was, there is always room for improvement! Here's some of my suggestions to make Whitesoot even better for all shopaholics!

•  Bring in more:

- More maxi in the lustrous material like my dress! :D

- Color!

- Basic items (slouchy tops, casual tank dresses etc)

• Hold more frequent postage offers

-  I missed out on the free postage entitled for Selangor area when the promotion was on but that didn't stop me from purchasing my dress *teehee*

•  Expand variety by bringing in accessories such as jewellery and handbags

• Perhaps have some birthday discounts? (:

• Come up with a customer points system that we can accumulate and get vouchers with !

• Participate in offline bazaars

- It'll certainly increase your exposure once you've ruled the blog sphere (;

Thanks for putting the FAB in the fabulous night i had sashaying in my maxi dress! I was thrilled to have people compliment on my dress. Nothing beats looking and feeling great and people telling you all the same :D
